Prevention/Body Alignment
- FACTS:
- Low back pain affects nearly 80 percent of adults.
- 90 percent of exercises performed in a gym are for
aesthetics rather than function, performance and alignment.
Statistics have shown the overwhelming need for
health and fitness professionals to obtain the knowledge skills and abilities to
work with clients who suffer from musculoskeletal impairments to either prevent
injuries and/or work with a client who is post-rehab and needs help
transitioning back into a gym setting. Today, injuries
have placed enormous strains on individuals entering the health clubs and an
even greater demand for injury prevention/body alignment specialists.
- I take a very gentle, effective, safe and "baby-step"
progression with my clients to ensure
- they get the best possible training to prevent
injuries and recover from injuries. I am very big on progression
and ensure the proper sequence is followed in the most suitable
intensity to fit to my client's needs and goals. I stay in contact
with any physical therapist, chiropractor or physician my client is also
working with to make sure we are all "on the same page".
Understand that what I do is NOT therapy and it is NOT treatment
nor is a it a replacement for any type of therapy, treatment or
diagnosis by a licensed physician. What I do is teach my clients to strengthen,
balance and build the body as a whole to prevent injury and to recover
from injury in conjunction with rehab or post-rehab in a "gym"
setting.

strength exercises (movements that enhance your daily functions)
are the foundations for your program. It is based on the quantitative and
qualitative data revealed in the assessment. Be sure to expect

awareness of your spine, movements and posture.
